As some of you may remember, I'm having a very frustrating problem with Youtube. I created it by signing in with a GMail account that I now rarely check. I wanted to switch my Youtube account to my newer GMail account that I use daily but everything that I've found on the net says that this is impossible and that the only way to do this would be to close my Youtube account, thereby losing all of the videos that I uploaded, my friends and my subscriptions and to then unlink it from the e-mail address so that I can reopen it and put everything back, or to start from scratch with a new account, which is essentially the same thing only with a different user name. But then, I was sent this link on the Blind Computer Users list.

Apparently, if you've created your account prior to May 2009, which I did, you can then unlink it from your current Google account and link it to a new one. I went there and it seems that my Youtube account isn't linked to any Google account, even though the GMail address with which it's associated has a Google account. I'm considering entering my newer GMail address as the Google account but then I don't know whether I need to create a new password or use the one that's associated with my newer GMail account. My fear is that it will still require me to use the password associated with my old account and that if I put in a different one, I'll be locked out of my Youtube account completely. How can I fix this? I just want my e-mails to go to my newer address!
Well, I still haven't had this problem resolved. Maybe, some will see this and be able to help. But now I have another one. For some reason, the volume of the videos that I watch on there has gone down. I thought that, perhaps, it was my system volume. But that's at 100%. All the other sounds come through fine, only the Youtube videos are low. I've tried several ones, including ones that I know are usually very loud, and I got the same result. Can anyone help me fix this?
Apparently, no one can help me with unlinking my accounts. But I'm sure someone on this site knows how to change the volume on videos. I'm still finding it almost impossible to hear them without headphones or speakers blasting, which then makes my screenreader insanely loud or without having to resort to starting up Klango every time I want to watch a youtube video. And even that doesn't always work, since some videos don't work with the program. Should I just do a system restore or something or is there a volume button on videos that I can try? I think I accidentally hit one on a video that I originally found on another site. Of course, it wasn't labelled so I had no clue what it was and was only trying to get the thing started.
I've been getting this dialogue to update Flash Player, but when I try to do so, it does nothing. I figured that maybe, there was something wrong with the player or certain settings were set that was making Youtube behave so strangely. So I decided to uninstall it. I used my Unclean program, which is basically a better form of Add/Remove Programs, because whenever I try to use the control pannel on this machine, it doesn't always show me the list of programs, only the options of how to view them. Anyway, I found Adobe Flash Plug-in 10 and tried to uninstall it. I saw a q and an i button so hit i. It did nothing. I then tried to hit whatever I could after tabbing away from the q button, since nothing was reading and it just brought me back to Unclean and closed the uninstallation program. I switched to JFW, thinking that it would read things properly but no such luck. So either flash Player is completely inaccessible or there's something wrong with mine. In either case, how do I delete it so that I can either reinstall it or an alternative to see if it changes my volume problem?
I also still don't know the difference between a Google account and a GMail account and am scared to unlink my Youtube account and it's current Google account (which is linked to the address where I currently get e-mails from Youtube) because I don't know if, when I change it to my new e-mail address, it will lock me out because the address and the Google account will be different. I want to try it but am nervous that I'll completely lose access to the account. Can anyone please help me there? This has been going on for months now with no clear solution!
I've heard that the new Flash Player is inaccessible but that there's an uninstall program for it. Is that accessiblee? If not, then how do I manually uninstall the player? Also, I was told that I could change the e-mail address associated with a Google account. I have a Google account associated with the e-mail address that I used to sign up for Youtube. If I change the address in that account to my newer one, will Youtube send my e-mails there instead of to the old one?
